Hannah Wiegele was the winner of the Sunday’s FIS Continental Cup competition in Brotterode (HS117) with jumps of 110.5 m and 106 m. The athlete from Austria also won the overall standings, consisted of just two competitions this season.
Hannah Wiegele was in the lead already after the first round. The Austrian jumped 110.5 meters and was 7 points ahead of Jerneja Repinc Zupancic (108.5 m) and 8.4 points ahead of Julia Muehlbacher (106 m). The fourth was Nika Prevc (105 m), the fifth was Ksenia Kablukova (105 m), and the sixth was Aleksandra Barantceva (108 m).
In the final, Hannah Wiegele landed on 106 meters and triumphed with an advantage of 16.4 points over Ksenia Kablukova (106 m). Jerneja Repinc Zupancic (104 m) stood on the lowest step of the podium, ahead of Julia Muehlbacher (107.5 m), Nika Prevc (102 m) and Aleksandra Barantceva (99 m).
Saturday and Sunday competitions in Brotterode were the only ones in the calendar of the 2020-2021 season of FIS Continental Cup. The overall winner was Hannah Wiegele (200 points), who triumphed in both competitions at Inselbergschanze. Ksenia Kablukowa was second (120 points), and third place was taken together by Jerneja Repinc Zupancic and Julia Muehlbacher (both scored 110 points).
