FC in Villach: Ptackova wins the Sunday competition

Stepanka Ptackova won the Sunday competition of the FIS Cup at the Alpenarena hill (HS98) in Villach. The Czech athlete won with jumps of 92.5 m and 93.5 m. Sahra Schuller was ranked second and Tinkara Komar was third.

Tinkara Komar was in the lead after the first round. The winner of Saturday’s competition reached 90.5 meters and was 1.7 points ahead of Lia Boehme (91.5 m). Sahra Schuller (88 m) was third, followed by Stepanka Ptackova (92.5 m), Katharina Ellmauer (88.5 m) and Magdalena Burger (84.5 m).

In the final, Stepanka Ptackova reached the victory. The athlete from the Czech Republic overtook her rivals thanks to a distance of 93.5 meters. Sahra Schuller (90.5 m) was second and Tinkara Komar (87 m) was third. Katharina Ellamuer (89 m), Lia Boehme (85.5 m) and Magdalena Burger (85 m) were ranked just behind the podium.

Katharina Ellmauer (193 points) became the new leader of the FIS Cup overall standings, ahead of Julia Clair and Nika Vetrih (both with 180 points).

The final competition of the FIS Cup season will take place next week (February 27-28) in Oberhof, Germany (HS100).
