Marita Kramer wins the third Blue Bird competition in a row. The athlete from Austria triumphed in the Friday competition in Chaikovskiy (HS102) after jumps on 99.5 m and 100 m. The second place was taken by Sara Takanashi, who took the lead in the World Cup. The podium was completed by the previous leader, Nika Kriznar.
Marita Kramer was in the lead already after the first round. The leader of the Blue Bird tournament jumped 99.5 meters and was 12.7 points ahead of Sarah Takanashi (94.5 m). The third place was taken by Nozomi Maruyama (94 m) ahead of Silje Opseth (91 m), Nika Kriznar (91.5 m) and Anna Rupprecht (91 m).
The following positions were taken by Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (90 m), Irina Avvakumova (88 m) and Katharina Althaus (88.5 m). The list of best ten athletes was closed by Yuki Ito with 86 meters.
In the final, Marita Kramer reached the victory with a 100-meter flight. The Austrian won with an advantage of 23.3 points over Sarah Takanashi (94.5 m). The lowest step of the podium was taken by Nika Kriznar (94 m), ahead of Nozomi Maruyama (90.5 m), Silje Opseth (91 m) and Spela Rogelj (92 m).
Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (89 m) finished the competition on the 7th place. Irina Avvakumova (89 m) was eighth, Yuki Ito was ninth (88 m) and Josephine Pagnier (89.5 m) was tenth.
Before the last individual competition of the season, Sara Takanashi became the leader of the FIS World Cup (826 points). The four-time winner of the Crystal Globe is 15 points ahead of Nika Kriznar (811) and 66 points ahead of Marita Kramer (760).
The leader of the Russian Tour Blue Bird is Marita Kramer (733.3 points), who is 44.4 points ahead of Sara Takanashi (688.9) and 59.5 points over Nika Kriznar (673.8).
The team competition on the normal hill (HS102) in Chaikovskiy is scheduled on Saturday. The event starts at 13:00 (CET). The trial round will begin at 12:00 (CET).
