Diana Toropchenova won the Sunday FIS Continental Cup competition at the Olympic hill in Zhangjiakou (HS106). The Russian athlete won with jumps of 101.5 m and 94.5 m. Dong Bing was second and Carina Vogt third.
After the first round, Diana Toropchenova was in the lead, setting the women’s hill record with a flight of 101.5 meters. The Russian was ahead of Dong Bing (96.5 m) and Carina Vogt (96.5 m). The fourth was Pia Lilian Kuebler (97.5 m), the fifth was Zeng Ping (98.5 m) and the sixth was Wang Liangyao (94.5 m).
In the final, Diana Toropchenova sealed the victory with a jump of 94.5 meters. The Russian was 3 points ahead of Dong Bing (100.5 m) and 5.6 points ahead of Carina Vogt (96.5 m). Just behind the podium were Mariia Iakovleva (94.5 m), Peng Qingyue (95 m) and Li Xueyao (96 m).
Thanks to the victory, Diana Toropchenova (180 points) became the new leader of the overall standings, ahead of Mariia Iakovleva (150 points). Dong Bing is third (130 points).
The next FIS Continental Cup competitions will be held in December 11-12 in Vikersund (HS117).
