Silje Opseth took her first World Cup victory in her career. The Norwegian won Saturday’s Raw Air competition at Holmenkollbakken (HS134) in Oslo. The host athlete jumped 129 m and 131.5 m. The second place was taken by Nika Kriznar and the third by Sara Takanashi.
In the first competition round, Silje Opseth landed at 129 meters and at the halfway point on Holmenkollbakken she was leading 1.8 points ahead of Nika Kriznar (127.5 m) and 4.9 points over Sara Takanashi (124 m). Ursa Bogataj (123.5 m) was fourth, Katharina Althaus (119 m) was fifth and Yuki Ito (125 m) was sixth.
In the final, Silje Opseth achieved 131.5 meters and reached her first cup victory in a career. The Norwegian defeated Nika Kriznar (126.5 m) by 2.6 points. The third place went to Sara Takanashi (125.5 m), who turned out to be better than Ursa Bogataj (125 m), Katharina Althaus (123.5 m) and Yuki Ito (121 m).
Marita Kramer is one step away from the Crystal Globe (1181 points). For three competitions by the end of the season, the Austrian has an advantage of 200 points over Nika Kriznar (981 points). Ursa Bogataj is third (871 points).
