Eva Pinkelnig won the second competition of the Silvester Tournament in Villach (HS98). The leader of the overall standings won with two jumps on 94.5 meters. The second place went to Katharina Althaus, and the third was Nika Kriznar.
Eva Pinkelnig confirmed her high disposition in the first round. The leader of the World Cup and the Silvester Tournament reached a distance of 94.5 meters and at the halfway point of the competition she was leading by 3.8 points over Anna Rupprecht (92.5 m) and Katharina Althaus (92 m). Fourth was Nika Kriznar (93 m), fifth Selina Freitag (95 m), and sixth Alexandria Loutitt (90.5 m).
In the final round, Eva Pinkelnig repeated the distance of 94.5 meters and won again at the Villacher Alpenaren with a lead of 5.6 points over Katharina Althaus (92.5 m). The lowest step of the podium was taken by Nika Kriznar (91 m), who was one point ahead of Selina Freitag (92.5 m). The fifth place went to Anna Rupprecht (88.5 m) and the sixth to Anna Odine Stroem (92 m).
At the half of the Silvester Tournament, Eva Pinkelnig is leading (518.1 points) with an advantage of over 23 points over Nika Kriznar (494.6 points). Third place goes to Anna Odine Stroem (439.9 points).
In the World Cup, Eva Pinkelnig (536 points) strengthened her position as the leader, ahead of Katharina Althaus (449 points) and Silje Opseth (337 points).
The Silvester Tournament is currently heading to Slovenia. On Friday, trainings and qualifications for the New Year’s Eve competition at the Logarska Dolina (HS94) ski jump in Ljubno will take place.
