Anna Odine Stroem won Sunday’s World Cup competition at the Rothaus-Schanze (HS111) in Hinterzarten. The Norwegian athlete wa the leader after a record jump of 112.5 meters, and in the final she achieved 103.5 m. The second place was taken by Ema Klinec, and the third by Eva Pinkelnig.
Anna Odine Stroem was already leading at the halfway point of the competition. The Norwegian set a hill record of the Rothaus-Schanze with a flight of 112.5 meters and was 3.9 points ahead of Yuki Ito (110.5 m). The third place was held by Eva Pinkelnig (107.5 m) ahead of Sara Takanashi (104.5 m) and Ema Klinec (102 m).
In the final, Anna Odine Stroem reached 103.5 meters and thanks to that she reached the second World Cup victory in her career. The Norwegian triumphed with an advantage of 5.2 points over Ema Klinec (107.5 m). The leader of the World Cup, Eva Pinkelnig (103.5 m) stood on the lowest step of the podium. The fourth was Chiara Kreuzer (103 m) ex aequo with Sara Takanashi (106 m), and the sixth was Yuki Ito (101.5 m).
In the World Cup overall standings, Eva Pinkelnig (1,096 points) is ahead of Katharina Althaus (871 points) and Anna Odine Stroe (773 points).
The next FIS World Cup competitions will be held next week, February 3-5 in Willingen (HS147). The mixed team competition is scheduled for Friday, while the individual competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday.
