Team Germany – Anna Rupprecht, Luisa Goerlich, Selina Freitag and Katharina Althaus – became the world champions on the normal hill in Planica. Maximilian Mechler’s athletes triumphed in Saturday’s competition on Srednja Skakalnica (HS102). The silver medals were won by the Austrians, and the bronze – by the Norwegians.
Saturday’s team competition ended with the victory of Germany. The gold medalists beat the Austrians by 12.7 points. The Norwegians stood on the lowest step of the podium.
The home team – Slovenians – finished the competition on the fourth position. Japan was fifth, Canada sixth, France seventh and China eighth.
On Sunday in Planica athletes will participate in the mixed team competition on the normal hill.
