WC in Oslo: Kreuzer wins saturday competition

Chiara Kreuzer triumphed in Saturday’s Raw Air competition at the Holmenkollbakken (HS134) in Oslo. The Austrian won with jumps of 125.5 m and 126.5 m. The second place went to Ema Klinec, who maintained the lead in the tournament. Third was Anna Odine Stroem.

After the first round, the leader was Katharina Althaus. The German landed on 126 meters and had two points advantage over Maren Lundby (133 m) and 2.3 points over Yuki Ito (128 m). Just behind the top three were Anna Odine Stroem (129 m), Chiara Kreuzer (125.5 m) and Ema Klinec (123 m).

The final round brought changes to the podium of the competition. Chiara Kreuzer soared to victory with a distance of 126.5 meters. The Austrian beat Ema Klinec (126.5 m) by 5.5 points. The third was Anna Odine Stroem (125 m) ahead of Yuki Ito (123 m). The leader at the halfway point, Katharina Althaus (120.5 m), dropped to fifth place.

The lead in the Raw Air tournament was maintained by Ema Klinec (383.9 points). The Slovenian is 8.7 points ahead of Anna Odine Stroem (375.2 points) and 8.9 points ahead of Chiara Kreuzer (375.0 points).

Out of the four individual competitions until the end of the season, Eva Pinkelnig (1,506 points) leads the World Cup standings with 259 points ahead of Katharina Althaus (1,247 points). Third place is taken by Anna Odine Stroem (1090 points).
