Marita Kramer is the best again! The FIS World Cup leader triumphed in Saturday’s competition at the Vogtland Arena (HS140) in Klingenthal. The Austrian won with jumps of 137 m and 134 m. Silje Opseth was second and Katharina Althaus was third.

In the first round, Marita Kramer flew away from her rivals. The World Cup leader soared 137 meters and at the halfway point she was ahead of 13.1 points over Silje Opseth (130 m) and 14.3 points over Katharina Althaus (129.5 m). Ursa Bogataj (129 m) was fourth, Sara Takanashi (125.5 m) was fifth and Spela Rogelj (121.5 m) was sixth.

The following places were taken by Yuka Seto (119 m), Eva Pinkelnig (122 m) and Aleksandra Kustova (118 m). The top ten was closed by Ema Klinec with a result of 114 meters.

In the final, Marita Kramer landed at 134 meters and triumphed by 21.3 points over Silje Opseth (130 m). The third place went to Katharina Althaus (127 m), who turned out to be better than Sara Takanashi (140 m), Ursa Bogataj (130 m) and Daniela Iraschko-Stolz (131 m).

Ema Klinec (127.5 m) finished seventh. Eighth was Nika Kriznar (124.5 m), ninth was Spela Rogelj (118 m) and tenth was Yuka Seto (119 m).

Marita Kramer, with 530 points, strengthened her lead in the World Cup. The athlete from Austria is ahead of Katharina Althaus (381 points) and Ursa Bogataj (335 points).

The next FIS World Cup event will be held on Friday 17th December in Ramsau (HS98).
