Ursa Bogataj triumphed in the final competition of the FIS Grand Prix at the Vogtland Arena (HS140) in Klingenthal. The Slovenian jumped 130.5 m and 131 m. Ema Klinec finished second and Selina Freitag was third.
Ursa Bogataj was in the lead after the first round. The winner of the FIS Grand Prix overall standings reached 130.5 meters and was the leader with an advantage of 4.3 points over Yuki Ito (126 m) and 11.1 points over Selina Freitag (123 m). Fourth was Ema Klinec (118 m), fifth Thea Minyan Bjoerseth (120 m) and sixth Abigail Strate (121 m).
In the final, Ursa Bogataj did the longest jump again, landing on 131 meters. The Olympic champion from Beijing triumphed in Klingenthal with an advantage of 27.9 points over Ema Klinec (126 m). The lowest step of the podium was taken by Selina Freitag (124 m), ahead of Yuki Ito (116 m), Katharina Althaus (119 m) and Thea Minyan Bjoerseth (114 m).
Ursa Bogataj (460 points) triumphed in the FIS Grand Prix 2022 overall standings ahead of Nika Kriznar (240 points) and Josephine Pagnier (209 points). For the Slovenian is the second overall victory in a row, after the success in 2021.
