Julia Clair won the inaugural FIS Cup competition of the 2020-2021 season in Kandersteg (HS106). The French athlete showed jumps of 102.5 m and 96 m. The second place went to Lara Malsiner (96 m and 91.5 m), and the third to Josephine Pagnier (93.5 m and 93 m).
Julia Clair took the lead in the leaderboard after the first round. The French athlete jumped 102.5 meters and was ahead of Lara Malsiner (96 m) by 5.2 points. Josephine Pagnier (93.5 m) was at third place ahead of Lucile Morat (89 m), Jessica Malsiner (86 m) and Oceane Avocat Gros (88.5 m).
In the final, Julia Clair sealed the victory with a 96-meter jump. The French defeated Lara Malsiner (91.5 m) by 15.8 points. Josephine Pagnier (93 m) was third. Lucile Morat (92.5 m), Jessica Malsiner (88 m) and Oceane Avocat Gros (83.5 m) were right behind the podium of Friday’s competition.
Thanks to the win, Julia Clair (100 points) became the first leader of the FIS Cup in the 2020-2021 season, ahead of Lara Malsiner (80 points) and Josephine Pagnier (60 points).
The second competition in Kandersteg is scheduled on Saturday (9:45 CET).
