WC in Hinzenbach: Team event for Austria

Austria won the team competition of the FIS World Cup at the Aigner-Schanze (HS90) in Hinzenbach. The Russians came second and the Slovenes finished third.

The Austrians were in the lead already after the first round. Chiara Kreuzer (81.5 m), Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (82 m), Lisa Eder (83.5 m) and Marita Kramer (87.5 m) were 24.3 points ahead of Russia and 43.2 points over Japan.

In the final, the host athletes did not let take the win from themselves. After the second jumps of Chiara Kreuzer (74.5 m), Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (84 m), Lisa Eder (83.5 m) and Marita Kramer (87 m), the Austrians triumphed with an advantage of 35.1 points over the second Russians.

Despite the disqualification in the first competition round, the Slovenians managed to finish on the lowest step of the podium in the final, half a point behind the Russians. The fourth place went to the Japanese.
