WC in Oberhof: Bogataj wins the season finale

Ursa Bogataj won the final competition of the FIS World Cup 2021-2022 in Oberhof (HS100). The Slovenian triumphed thanks to jumps of 95.5 m and 100 m. Nika Kriznar was second and Ema Klinec finished third.

After the first round, three Slovenes were in the lead. The best was Nika Kriznar (97.5 m), ahead of Ursa Bogataj (95.5 m) and Spela Rogelj (100 m), who ended her career today. The fourth was the winner of the Crystal Globe, Marita Kramer (93.5 m) ahead of Ema Klinec (91.5 m) and Katharina Althaus (90 m).

In the final, Ursa Bogataj soared for the victory. The Olympic champion landed 100 meters and was 4.3 points ahead of Nika Kriznar. On the lowest step of the podium was Ema Klinec (96.5 m), fourth was Marita Kramer (92.5 m) and fifth was Katharina Althaus (96.5 m).

The winner of the Crystal Globe was Marita Kramer (1316 points). The second place was taken by Nika Kriznar (1191 points), and the third place went to Ursa Bogataj (1151 points). 57 players scored the World Cup points.

The Nations Cup for the first time was won by the Slovenes (4570 points), who turned out to be better than the Austrians (3823 points) and the Japanese (2213 points).
