Silje Opseth was the winner of Sunday’s FIS World Cup competition at the Lysgaardsbakken (HS140) in Lillehammer. The host athlete won with jumps of 137.5 m and 133 m. Second place went to Anna Odine Stroem and third to Eva Pinkelnig.
Eva Pinkelnig was in the lead after the first round. The leader of the World Cup soared to a distance of 135.5 meters and overtook the Norwegians – Anna Odine Stroem (140 m) and Silje Opseth (137.5 m). Fourth place was taken by Ema Klinec (135 m), fifth by Katharina Althaus (133 m), and sixth by Nika Kriznar (128.5 m).
In the final Silje Opseht successfully attacked. Thanks to the jump at 133 meters, she reached the third World Cup victory in her career. The Norwegian triumphed with an advantage of 7.5 points over her teammate Anna Odine Stroem (129 m). The lowest step of the podium was taken by Eva Pinkelnig (130.5 m), ahead of Katharina Althaus (129 m), Ema Klinec (126 m) and Nika Kriznar (131.5 m).
Eva Pinkelnig (300 points) remained the leader of the FIS World Cup, ahead of Silje Opseth (247 points) and Katharina Althaus (240 points).
The next FIS World Cup competition will be held next week in Titisee-Neustadt (HS142). For Saturday, the first mixed team event of the season is planned, and for Sunday – the individual competition.
