Jerneja Repinc Zupancic is the winner of Saturday’s FIS Cup competition in Oberhof (HS100). The athlete from Slovenia won thanks to jumps of 93.5 and 94.5 meters.
Jerneja Repinc Zupancic was already in the lead after the first round. The Slovene reached 93.5 meters and overtook Katharina Ellmauer (91.5 m) and Vanessa Moharitsch (89.5 m) by 2.5 points. The fourth was Nika Prevc (89.5 m), the fifth was Pauline Hessler (89 m), and the sixth was Oceane Avocat Gros (89 m).
In the final, Jerneja Repinc Zupancic sealed the victory with a flight of 94.5 meters, defeating her teammate Nika Prevc (96 m) by 0.2 points. The lowest step of the podium was taken by Katharina Ellmauer (91 m). Pauline Hessler (89 m) was ranked on 4th place, Vanessa Moharitsch (88.5 m) was fifth and Selina Freitag (93.5 m) was sixth.
In the overall standings, Katharina Ellmauer (253 points) leads ahead of Nika Vetrih (216 points) and Jerneja Repinc Zupancic (205 points).
The final competition of the 2020-2021 season will take place on Sunday in Oberhof. The event starts at 9:00 (CET). A trial round will begin half an hour earlier.
