Anette Sagen won both competitions in Zao. Iraschko twice on the second rank.
Anette Sagen (NOR) won Tuesday’s competition with two outstanding jumps to 99.0 and 97.0 meters. She had a clear margin of 20 points to second place which was shared by Daniela Iraschko (AUT) and Izumi Yamada (JPN). For Yamada it was the first podium this winter, after she won a CoC-competition the last summer in Bischofshofen. WSC silver medallist Ulrike Grässler (GER) and World Champion Lindsey Van (USA) placed fourth and fifth.
On Wednesday Sagen again won the competition with 90.0 and 95.5 meters. Iraschko again took the second place – this time alone ahead of Van on the third rank. Grässler placed on the fourth rank. Yamada on the fifth place was again the best Japanese, just slightly behind three girls shared the sixth rank: Rieko Kanai (JPN) and the Germans Anna Häfele and Jenna Mohr.
With those two victories Sagen was able to extend her lead in the overall Continental Cup’s standings. Two competitions before the end of the Season she is now 139 points ahead of second placed Iraschko.
