Anna Rupprecht and Katharina Keil won the international WoGoS junior competition in Saalfelden on Sunday.

WoGoS (Women Go Sport) is a programme by the Austrian Ministry of Sports. Its goal is to boost equality in sports. The competition on the K60 in Saalfelden that Sunday was the first competition ever, that was held within that programme. WoGoS has the aim to create a international series of junior competitions in the future, to close the gap between the national competitions and the FIS Continental Cup.

25 girls from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and Italy were competing in two age groups. The competition of the 12-14 year old girls won Germany’s Anna Rupprecht ahead of Katharina Althaus (GER) and Veronica Gianmoena (ITA).

In the competition of the 15-17 year old juniors many CoC-experienced jumpers were starting. Winner was Katharina Keil (AUT) ahead of Cornelia Roider (AUT) and Franziska Schubert (GER).
