Daniela Iraschko wins also the second Continental Cup in Lillehammer. Coline Mattel and Line Jahr take 2nd and 3rd rank.

For Austria’s Daniela Iraschko jumps on 93.0 and 98.5 meters were sufficient to win also the competition on Sunday in Lillehammer. Second place took Coline Mattel (FRA, 88.5 and 92.5 meters) ahead of Norway’s Line Jahr (87.5 and 89.0 m).

With jumps on 89.0 and 84.0 meters Yuki Ito (JPN) took the fourth rank. Fifth and sixth rank both went to the U.S.-team. For fifth-ranked Jessica Jerome 86.5 and 83.5 meters were measured. Lindsey Van jumped from thirteen to six in the second round (79.0 and 86.5 m). With Abby Hughes on the 10th rank, America was clearly the best performing nation of the day.

Yesterday’s runner-up and leader in the overall Continental Cup before this competition, Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (AUT), was disqualified as her skis were too long. Germany, usually one of the strongest teams, faltered a little today. Their best athlete was Juliane Seyfarth on eleven.

In the overall Continental Cup, Mattel has now assumed the leadership (343 points). Seifriedsberger is still second (280), third is Yuki Ito (266).
