Daniela Iraschko won Saturday’s competition in Falun ahead of Lindsey Van and Jessica Jerome.
There was bad weather today in Falun. During the whole competition it was raining and it was rather cold. As if this wasn’t enough, there was also a strong wind all the time. So several breaks had to be taken.
Despite the bad conditions, Austria’s Daniela Iraschko was able to win clearly (97.0 and 93.0 m). It is her fifth victory in a row. Second and third place were both taken by American athletes. Lindsey Van finished second (86.5 and 94.5 m), ahead of her team-mate Jessica Jerome (92.5 and 87.5 m).
Germany’s Melanie Faisst took the fourth rank (93.5 and 86.0 m). After the first round she was still on second, equal with Austria’s Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, who finally finished fifth (92.5 and 84.5 m). Sixth rank took Germany’s Juliane Seyfarth (84.0 and 93.0 m).
In the overall Continental Cup, Coline Mattel, who was not competing today, is still in the lead with 503 points. Only three points behind her is Iraschko on the second rank. Third rank is taken by Seifriedsberger (430 points).
