Daniela Iraschko won also the second competition in Ljubno ahead of Juliane Seyfarth and Maja Vtic. Again the Slovenian Team was very strong.

There was sunny weather in Ljubno on Sunday, and a nice Continental Cup competition was held on the K 85.

Saturday’s winner Daniela Iraschko from Austria won also today. She was still third after the first round (81.0 m) but eventually won, after setting the competition’s longest distance in the second round (87.5 m).

Like yesterday, the ranks two to ten were taken by jumpers from Slovenia and Germany only. But this time a German made it to the podium: Juliane Seyfarth jumped from five to two in the second round (81.0 and 86.0 m). Maja Vtic took the third rank with a pair of jumps on 81.5 and 84.0 meters.

Eva Logar, who was leading after the first round, finally came fourth (81.5 and 82.5 m). Also the fifth and sixth rank were taken by Slovenians, Anja Tepes (80.5 and 83.5 m) and Spela Rogelij (80.5 and 82.0 m).

In the overall Continental Cup Iraschko has now an advantage of 460 points on second ranked Coline Mattel, who was not competing in Ljubno this weekend. America’s Jessica Jerome is still third with 598 points.

The next Continental Cup is scheduled on February 5th in Brotterode. During the next week, the Junior World Championships will be held in Otepää.
