Maja Vtic and Coline Mattel performed best in the official training for the first Summer Continental Cup in Szczyrk.
This summer’s Continental Cup will be kicked-off tomorrow in Szczyrk (POL). There and in Zakopane, where the next competition is scheduled on Friday, Continental Cups are held together with the men’s Grand Prix.
Today the official training for tomorrow’s competition was held on the HS106 hill in Szczyrk. Because some large nations, such as Austria, Norway and the United States, did not make it to Poland only 34 jumpers are competing there.
Best in both training rounds was Slovenia’s Maja Vtic. She jumped on 100.5 and 101.5 meters. In the second round also France’s Coline Mattel was able to jumped over 100 meters (97.5 and 100.5 m). Behind these two, jumpers from Japan and Germany performed best in this training.
Sara Takanashi had a pair of jumps on 99.0 and 97.5 meters, also the performance of her team-mates Yuki Ito (95.0 and 93.0 m) and Atsuko Tanaka (89.0 and 98.5) was fine. Best German was Melanie Faisst (95.0 and 98.0 m), also Ulrike Grässler (95.0 and 94.0 m) and Juliane Seyfarth (91.0 and 97.0 m) jumped well.
