Daniela Iraschko won the final Summer CoC-competition in Trondheim ahead of Jaci Seifriedsberger and Katharina Althaus.
After their double win yesterday, Daniela Iraschko and Jaqueline Seifriedsberger dominated also the final Continental Cup competition today. It was a close fight between the two Austrians. In the first round both jumped 104.0 meters, in the second Seifriedsberger jumped on 95.5 and Iraschko on 94.5 meters. Nevertheless Iraschko won by two points over Seifriedsberger, as she got higher style points by the judges for her jumps. Third ranked Katharina Althaus (GER), who celebrated her first CoC-podium today, was more then 25 points behind the Austrian duo (95 and 92 m).
Italy’s Evelyn Insam came forth with a pair of jumps on 96.5 and 88.5 meters. The fifth rank was shared by Japan’s Sara Takanashi (91.5 and 90.0 m) and Germany’s Melanie Faisst (94.5 and 88.5 m). Germany and Japan performed very strong as teams today. Five Germans and four Japanese made it to the top 15.
France’s Coline Mattel, who was already fixed as overall Continental Cup winner before this competition, only came ninth today. She has a final score of 539 points. Second in this ranking is Takanashi with 436 points. With her win today Iraschko (360 points) pushed Slovenia’s Maja Vtic back to the fourth rank (351 points), as Vtic was only 18th today.
