Norway’s Silje Sprakehaug injured her right knee’s anterior cruciate ligament.
In the official training for the World Cup in Lillehammer last Friday, Silje Sprakehaug suffered a grave fall. It was quickly evident, that her knee was injured and thus she missed the competition. Now she underwent a MRI examination and it turned out that she has torn her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). She will consult a specialist the next week to plan the needed surgery. Usually ACL-injuries require a recovery time of more then a half year, so we won’t see her on the hills this winter. “I broke my collar bone this summer too, so I wasn’t ready for another injury break. But that’s how it is”, she said to Ladies-Skijumping.com.
Ladies-Skijumping.com wishes her a well recovery.
