Anna Rieser, Elisabeth Raudaschl, Veronika Zobel and Ramona Straub won the Ladies Cups in Isny.
While the World Cup in Ljubno was in the centre of attention this weekend, also two competitions of the Ladies Cup, the junior series in Ladies Skijumping, were held. Venue for the competitions on Saturday and Sunday was the K60 hill in Isny, Germany. As usual the competitions were held in age groups, Girls (born 1997-99), Juniors (1994-96) and Ladies (1993 and older).
Girls: Austrians not to beat
On Saturday it was very close in the girls competition between the Austrians Anna Rieser and Elisabeth Raudaschl. Although Raudaschl (60.0 and 61.0 m) jumped a little further, Rieser (58.5 and 60.0 m) won the competition by one point, because she got more style points from the judges. Third behind the two Austrians came Germany’s Carina Wursthorn, who jumped twice on 58.0 meters. It was Wursthorn’s first appearance in the Ladies Cup – an almost perfect debut.
On the next day Raudaschl won with two jumps on 60.5 meters ahead of Rieser who jumped 60.0 and 59.5 this time. Third came Luisa Görlich (GER), she jumped 59.5 meters twice. Saturday’s third Wursthorn missed the podium that day as fourth (58.0 and 58.5 m)
The leader in the Girl’s overall cup ranking, Ema Klinec from Slovenia, did not compete in Isny. In total 14 jumpers from 5 countries competed in the girls competitions.

Juniors: Zobel wins twice
Germany’s Veronika Zobel won both Junior competitions. And also the rest of the result list looks ready pretty equal on both days. Lucienne Hoeppner from Germany and Lisa Wiegele (AUT) twice came second and third. The only variation in the results of the two days is, that fifth and sixth ranked Austrians Michaela Kranzl and Laura Kummer swapped their positions. On both days it was very close between them and fourth ranked Veronica Gianmoena from Italy.

Ladies: Straub ahead of Thomae
For the first time in this winter a handful of competitors in the Ladies age group gathered to compete. The last time a Ladies Cup with jumpers in the adult age was held, was at the summer’s final in Ziri, Slovenia.
On both days Germany’s Ramona Straub won ahead of Netherland’s Lara Thomae. With Debora Schmidt another German completed the podium. As only four jumpers competed in this age group, France’s Caroline Espiau was fourth and so last in both competitions.
