Sara Takanashi was best also in the second official training on Wednesday in Erzurum.
Japan’s Sara Takanashi performed best also in the second official training for the Junior World Championships. In both training rounds she jumped the farthest distance, 102.0 and 98.5 meters. A little surprising Julia Kykkänen from Finland was second in both rounds with jumps on 97.0 and 97.5 meters. Still in yesterday’s first training she only took round ranks between eight and fourteen. Third in the first training round came Italy’s Evelyn Insam with a jump on 96.5 meters. 95.0 in the second were only enough for the sixth round rank. After jumping only 88.5 in the first training, a 97.0 meter jump was enough to take the third rank in the second for Slovenia’s Spela Rogelj.
World Cup leader Sarah Hendrickson from America still needs to improve a little, if she wants to take part in the combat for victory tomorrow. With less inrun than most other jumpers she jumped 89.5 meters in the first round, 11th rank. Her 95.5 meters in the second training were only enough for the fourth round rank. The individual competition will be held tomorrrow 13:00 h.
