The French National Team used the first weeks of October for an intensive and interesting training camp.
At the moment the team consists only of Coline Mattel, Léa Lemare and Julia Clair. Caroline Espiau is still recovering from an injury, but if everything goes right she will be able to jump again in the mid of November.
During the last week the team jumped on the K80 in Premanon and did some physical tests on Wednesday and Thursday. They also took advantage of the chance to do some tests in a wind tunnel, what was a lot of fun for the athletes. “It’s been a quite long period without competition since Hinterzarten and our ladies are now fully focused on physical preparation, but of course they also use the time for their schoolwork”, assistant coach Frédéric Zoz said to Ladies-Skijumping.com.
On the last weekend the team moved on to Courchevel, where they jumped on the large hill on Saturday and also participated in a competition of the Subaru Challenge (French Cup). Coline Mattel won the competition with 2 impressive jumps ahead of Léa Lemare, who just restarted to jump after an almost two-month break as she had an injured right feet. Julia Clair came third.
