The medal giving ceremony for yesterday’s competition was held in the evening in Cavalese.
The top three of the individual competition at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme, Sarah Hendrickson, Sara Takanashi and Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, received their medals tonight out of the hands of FIS President Gian Franco Kasper. The prize giving ceremony was held on the central square in Cavalese, the main town of the valley. Some thousand people gathered there, to see the ceremonies for Nordic Combined, women’s and men’s Skiathlon and finally Ladies Skijumping. Also the athletes that took places four to six, Coline Mattel, Carina Vogt and Jessica Jerome received an award.
The American, Japanese and Austrian flags were run up for the best three athletes and the American Anthem was played in honour of World Champion Hendrickson.
