The knee injury Slovenia’s Anja Tepes suffered when falling in Oslo is worse than expected.
When Slovenia’s Anja Tepes fell after landing her second jump on Sunday in Oslo, everybody was afraid that she suffered an injury on her knee. Now she was examined by her medics and the worst fears about her injury have come true: She has torn both, the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) and the Lateral Ligament of her right knee. Also the meniscus is cracked.
A surgery cannot be done before the end of April, as the knee is still swollen too much. It is expected that she will need about six month for recovery then. This means that she will most likely not be able to do much training this summer, but jump again next winter. On her Facebook-Fanpage Tepes expressed optimistically: “Hard work and rehabilitation. Then I’ll be ready to jump!”
Ladies-Skijumping.com wishes her a well recovery.
