COC: Second double win for Germany in Lahti

Anna Häfele won on Sunday in Lahti ahead of Juliane Seyfarth and Sofya Tikhonova.

Second Continental Cup in Lahti – second double victory for Germany. Yesterday’s best two jumpers, Juliane Seyfarth and Anna Häfele, were also today able to celebrate a double win. The winner of yesterday, Seyfarth, came second today, while Häfele was victorious.

To win this competition Häfele needed a pair of jumps of 95.0 and 91.5 meters. She was more than 10 points ahead of Seyfarth, who came second by jumping 87.0 and 92.0 meters. Third behind the two Germans came Sofya Tikhonova from Russia with jumps of 85.5 and 88.0 meters. This is her best career result so far.

The fourth place was taken by Norway’s Anna Odine Strøm, who jumped 87.0 and 85.5 meters today. With Anna Rupprecht another German came fifth. She jumped 83.0 and 85.5 meters. Nina Lussi from the United States finished sixth with jumps of 84.5 and 82.0 meters. Best jumper of the hosting nation Finland was Susanna Forsström on the seventh place (82.5 and 80.5 m).

With her second place today Seyfarth now leads in the overall Continental Cup. She has 251 points. Second is Strøm, who has a score of 210. Third is Norway’s Anette Sagen. She has 200 points due to her two wins in Notodden in December. She did not compete in Lahti.
