FC in Villach: Nika Prevc’s maiden victory

Nika Prevc scored the first victory in the FIS Cup competition in her career. Lara Malsiner and Jerneja Repinc Zupancic completed the podium of Saturday’s competition at the 98-meter hill in Villach.

After the first round, Prevc was fourth with a result of 90.5 meters. In the final, she improved by an one meter, which brought her to the highest step of the podium. The second Lara Malsiner from Italy (90 and 86.5 meters) lost 10.7 points.

Jerneja Repinc Zupancic, which started the competition with an impressive flight of 97.5 meters, did not keep the lead after the first round. In the final round, the Slovenian landed on the 81st meter, which resulted in a drop to the third place.

The top “6” was closed by Klara Ulrichova from the Czech Republic (89 and 82 meters), German Pia Lilian Kuebler (85.5 and 90 meters) and the younger of the Malsiner sisters – Jessica (twice 85.5 meters).

The leader of the FIS Cup stayed Julia Muehlbacher (373 points) ahead of Qingyue Peng (293 points) and Hannah Wiegele (285 points).

The Sunday competition in Villach will start at 9:15 CET.
