Sara Takanashi performed best in the second official training in Liberec. Sarah Hendrickson jumped slightly weaker today.
Today’s second official training for the Junior World Championships in Liberec has confirmed, that we can expect a tough fight between Sarah Hendrickson and Sara Takanashi in the competition tomorrow. But other than in yesterday’s first training, that was dominated by the American Hendrickson, the Japanese was in front today. Takanashi jumped 98.5 and 104.5 meters and so clearly was best in both training rounds. Hendrickson, who had a by one gate shorter inrun af both jumps, jumped 95.5 and 98.5 meters, and so in total nine meters less than Takanashi. It is really a thrilling question, who of the two Sara(h)s will be in front tomorrow.
Or will someone else win? Like yesterday Evelyn Insam from Italy performed very consistent with jumps if 96.0 and 97.0 meters. And also the entire Slovenian team jumped very strong again today. Best of them was once again Katja Pozun with jumps of 94.5 and 94.0 meters. A little odd was the performance of Spela Rogelj. After an unhappy jump of 84.5 meters in the first round, she eventually jumped 99.0 meters in the second round.
The weather forecast for tomorrow is quite fine, so after these great training days we can look forward to see a really great competition there. It will be held tomorrow at one o’clock p.m.
