Daniela Iraschko won both Continental Cups in Notodden. Anette Sagen and Lindsey Van also performed well.

On both competitions only 25 jumpers were in the start list, as many teams are already doing specific training for the upcoming world championships in Liberec. Nevertheless the presence of many of the best jumpers made it a high-class competition.

After the first round in Friday’s competition Anette Sagen (NOR) was in the lead ahead of Daniela Iraschko (AUT) and Lindsey Van (USA), who shared the third rank with Ulrike Grässler (GER). The competition’s longest jump to 97.0 m in the second round was enough to win for Iraschko. Sagen and Van placed second and third while Grässler slipped to the fourth place.

On Saturday Iraschko was able to win by a clear margin of 36.5 points after she set a 102.5 m jump in the first round and 97.0 m in the second. Van took the second place with two 94.0 m jumps, Sagen was able to jump from five to three in the second round. Alissa Johnson (USA) and Helena Olsson Smeby (NOR) are on the forth and fifth rank.

In the overall Continental Cup’s standing Sagen is still in the lead, followed by Van, Grässler and Iraschko.
