The official training in Bischofsgrün took place on Friday afternoon at sunny weather conditions. Germanys Magdalena Schnurr was the best in both training rounds.
The official training here in Bischofsgrün was the kick-off for that summer’s Continental Cup. Sunny, warm weather, disturbed by some clouds and some blowing wind, were a perfect setting for the trainings. Some well-known jumpers, such as Norways Anette Sagen or World Champion Lindsey Van (USA), who is injured, do not participate in the competitions here in Germany. But nice to notice, that athletes from nations like Poland or Russia, that are not yet established in ladies ski jumping, do start here. Looks like there will be more diversity that season.
Magdalena Schnurr (GER), winner in Bischofsgrün in the last year, was able to set the longest jump in both training rounds. In the first training round Slovenia’s Eva Logar and the Japanese newcomer Sara Takanashi placed behind her. In the second round especially the large German team presented in a good condition, with Ulrike Grässler and Jenna Mohr taking places two and three . Forth rank was shared by four Athletes, Sarah Hendrickson (USA), Bigna Windmüller (SUI), and Germans Anna Häfele and Juliane Seyfarth.
