Daniela Iraschko performed best and most stable of all in today’s official training in Oslo. Also Seyfarth and Jerome “won” training rounds.
The Ladies Summer Continental Cup continues in Oslo this weekend. Two competitions will be held here on Saturday and Sunday. Also competitions of the men’s CoC will be held here on the same days.
The competitions here are maybe the most important ones of this summer, as they are a chance for all athletes to get used to the venue for this winter’s World Ski Championships. The HS 106 hill Midstubakken is totally new and was opened only two weeks ago. The opening jump was made by Maren Lundby, who will also be participating in the Continental Cups this weekend.
Today three official training rounds were held. In the first one America’s Jessica Jerome performed best of all (102.0 m). After a slightly weaker second jump, also her third jump (102.5) was pretty good. The second round a jump on 105.5 m by Germany’s Juliane Seyfarth was best. She was also able to jump well in the third round (97.0 m), after still struggling a little to cope with the hill in the first.
Austria’s Daniela Iraschko performed most stable of all in the three rounds. In the first and second round, she twice jumped the second longest distance (101.5 and 102.5 m). Her third jump on 108.0 meters finally was the best of the whole training. Also her team-mate Jacqueline Seifriedsberger had a very good jump. After a weak first try, she jumped on 100.5 m in the second training round. She skipped the third jump.
Noteworthy is also the performance of Coline Mattel (FRA). She was able to improve from round to round and finally jumped on 103.0 meters in the third round. That was the second longest jump of the round.
