Elena Runggaldier wins ahead of Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Line Jahr. Daniela Iraschko won overal Continental Cup.

What a close result! Italy’s Elena Runggaldier (99.0 and 94.0 meters) won the final Continental Cup competition of this summer with an advantage of only a half point on second ranked Jacqueline Seifriedsberger from Austria (95.5 and 97.0 m). Third rank took Norway’s Line Jahr (95.0 and 95.5 m).

With three jumpers among the top ten, Italy was clearly the best team today, as Lisa Demetz (95.5 and 93.5 m) took the fourth rank and Evelyn Insam came seventh (91.5 and 94.5 m). Fifth rank took Slovenia’s Eva Logar (95.5 and 92.5 m) ahead of Ayumi Watase (JPN, 91.0 and 95.0 m).

Norway’s Anette Sagen, best in yesterday’s official training, was unable to compete today. She had a knee surgery on last week’s Thursday and again had some issues with the knee after yesterday’s training.

Iraschko wins overall Continental Cup

As she only came second today, Seifriedsberger missed the opportunity to win the overall Continental Cup. In the final ranking she has 590 points. That is 10 points less then Daniela Iraschko (AUT), who won all six competitions she attended. Iraschko did not compete in this final competition. Is the first time she is able to win the overall Summer Continental Cup, after already winning the overall Winter CoC in the last season. In the last couple of years, she used to skip all summer competitions. Coline Mattel from France, who was not competing in Falun and Liberec, finally took the third place in the ranking with 502 points.
