Jacqueline Seifriedsberger, Maja Vtic and Atsuko Tanaka performed best in the official training in Zao (Yamagata).
The official training for the final Continental Cups of this winter was held today in the afternoon in Zao. In the first of the two training rounds, Slovenia’s Maja Vtic performed best by jumping 87.5 meters. Second of the round was Germany’s Melanie Faisst (86.0 m), third Austria’s Jacqueline Seifriedsberger (85.0 m).
In the second training round Seifriedsberger set the longest distance of the day (90.0 m). With the former Canadian Atsuko Tanaka (87.5 m) and Yurika Hirayama (87.0 m) two members of the twenty-strong Japanese team took the second and third rank of this training.
Sara Takanashi, clearly the best Japanese in this winter, skipped today’s training. Overall Continental Cup winner and World Champion Daniela Iraschko (AUT) does not compete in Japan, neither does Coline Mattel (FRA), winner of six Continental Cups in this winter.
