Germany’s Deutscher Skiverband installed Andreas Bauer as new head coach, Daniel Vogler remains assistant.

After Switzerland and Norway, also Germany makes some changes in it’s coaching staff. Germany’s national ski association, Deutscher Skiverband (DSV), has installed Andreas Bauer as new national coach for Ladies Skijumping. Daniel Vogler, who worked in an honorary capacity as head coach during the last 11 years, remains assistant coach. Also Christian Bruder and Catrin Schmid continue their engagement as assistant coaches.

Bauer was executive jumping coach of Germany’s Nordic Combined team for many years. “The job as ladies national coach is a delightful task for me and a big challenge. It is not only my goal to develop and guide the athletes optimally, but also to set the course for a successful performance at the 2014 Olympics. I can build on a solid base, that was created by Daniel Vogler in the last eleven years,” Bauer said on deutscherskiverband.de

Thomas Pfüller, Secretary General of DSV: “With Andreas Bauer we have recruited an real expert as national coach for the ladies. He is assigned to develop Ladies Skijumping as an autonomous discipline, with regard to the Olympics in Sochi.”
