Elisabeth Raudaschl, Manuela Malsiner, Barbara Klinec and Nadine Kostner won at the Ladies Cup in Gallio.
Already on the weekend two more competitions of the Ladies Cup, the junior series in Ladies Skijumping, were held on the HS66 in Gallio. Now we finally received the results of these competitions. As usual the competitions were held in three age groups, Girls, Juniors and Ladies.
Girls: Victories for Raudaschl and Malsiner
The competitions of the Girls (born 1997-99) were won by Austria’s Elisabeth Raudaschl and Italy’s Manuela Malsiner. The two bests in the overall standings before these competitions, Slovenia’s Ema Klinec and Austria’s Sonja Schoitsch, did not compete in Gallio.
Raudaschl won on Saturday with jumps on 55.5 and 57.5 meters. Second that day came Malsiner (54.5 and 59 m). Switzerland’s Gianina Ernst came third (53 and 54 m) ahead of her team-mate Eria Ziegler (52 and 51 m). Ranks five and six were taken by the Germans Pauline Hessler (59.5 and 49.5 m) and Luisa Görlich (51 and 51.5 m).
On Sunday Malsiner was victorious and jumped twice on 57.5 meters. Second came Hessler (58 and 55 m), Raudaschl finished third (55.5 and 55 m). Ranks four to six were taken by Anna Rieser (AUT, 54 and 55 m), Ernst (55.5 and 52.5 m) and Goerlich (twice 51.5 m).
The overall standings are still led by Schoitsch (420 points) and Klinec (400). Raudaschl is third now with 385 points (blank results are already considered).
Juniors: Klinec highly consistent
Slovenia’s Barbara Klinec won the Juniors (born 1994-96) competitions on both days. It is a funny note, that she jumped exactly on 61.0 meters in all four competition jumps.
Second behind Klinec on Saturday came Anais Geoffray (FRA, 58 and 59 m). The Germans Lucienne Höppner (57 and 59.5 m) and Melanie Häckert (54.5 and 55.5 m) took ranks three and four. Fifth came Italy’s Veronica Gianmoena (55.5 and 55 m), sixth Slovenia’s Manja Pograjc (49 and 51 m).
On Sunday Italy’s Evelyn Insam, who did not compete the day before, came second with a pair of jumps on 61 and 60 m. Höppner again finished third (57 and 57.5 m). Ranks four to six were taken by Geoffray (57.5 and 54 m), Pograjc (54.4 and 55.5 m) and Gianmoena (55 and 53 m).
Klinec is now leader in the overall standings (320 poinst), second is Pograjc (280). Third in this Ranking is Austria’s Lisa Wiegele (266 points), who came seventh and ninth in these competitions in Gallio (blank results are already considered).
Ladies: Two victories for Kostner
As usual only few jumpers competed in the Ladies class (born 1993 or older). Slovenia’s Vesna Alegro and Italy’s Nadine Kostner were the only competitors in Gallio. On both days Kostner won over Alegro.
Kostner jumped 51.5 and 51 meters on Saturday and 53.5 and 54 meters on Sunday, while Alegro jumped 49.5 and 52.5 meters on Saturday and 49.5 and 51 meters on Sunday.
The final Summer competitions of the Ladies Cup will be held on the next weekend in Ziri.
