Team check: Poland

Ahead of the first World Cup season Ladies-Skijumping.com takes a close look at all national teams. We continue this series with Poland.

The Polish team is one of the youngest ones in Ladies Skijumping. Joanna Gawron is the most experienced jumper of the three-strong team. Since 2006 she competed in 15 Continental Cup competitions and at the Junior World Champs 2008 in Zakopane. Her best CoC result so far was a 33rd rank this summer in Szczyrk.

Magdalena Palasz and Joanna Szwab both made their international debut just this year. As all three Polish jumpers are still waiting for CoC-points, they are not allowed to start at World Cups. Their only chance to qualify for these events are the CoC-competitions in November and December. However, for these young jumpers gaining experience in international competitions is much more important than having good results.
