47 jumpers will participate tomorrow in the first Ladies World Cup ever in Lillehammer!
The first Ladies World Cup season ever will be kicked off tomorrow. Lillehammer, host of the Olympic Games 1994, was chosen as venue for this inaugural event. The competition of the ladies will be held together with the men’s World Cup on the HS 100 there. Already today in the evening two official training rounds will be held (18:30h).
The organizers created a very special schedule for the the competition tomorrow. The ladies’ and men’s competition will not be held consecutively, but mixed up. So one round of the ladies will be followed by one round by the men, and so on.
47 jumpers from 14 countries are on the start list for this first World Cup, among them are World Champion Daniela Iraschko (AUT), Junior World Champion Coline Mattel (FRA) and many other international top jumpers such as Melanie Faisst (GER), Jaci Seifriedsberger (AUT), Jessica Jerome (USA), Ulrike Grässler (GER), Juliane Seyfarth (GER), Maja Vtic (SLO), Sara Takanashi (JPN) and Elena Runggaldier (ITA).
Many national TV-stations through Europe, as well as Eurosport, will report live from Lillehammer. Despite that no detailed programme information is available, we can expect that at least the final round of the ladies competition will be broadcast.
