The team is in a good condition. Training continues in Hinterzarten this week.

The French Ladies National Team (Coline Mattel, Julia Clair, Léa Lemare and Caroline Espiau) held a four-day training camp in Courchevel on the K90 last week. Prior to this, the girls went through a long period of hard physical training. Anaïs Geoffray missed this training camp, because of a severe back pain. “The camp has been great and our ladies are doing fine. They improved physically and start to jump step by step better and better”, said assistant coach Frédéric Zoz to Ladies-Skijumping.com. The team used this training camp to test different jumping suits and even did a lot of jumps with alpine skiing suits.

The French men’s team was training also in Courchevel at the same time, so just for fun a mixed team competition was organized. Team number one was formed by Julia Clair, Coline Mattel, Nicolas Mayer and Vincent Descombes Sevoie. Team number two consisted of Léa Lemare, Caroline Espiau, Ronan Lamy Chappuis and Emmanuel Chedal. After the first round, team number one was nine points ahead, but finally the second team won the “competition” with a 4 point lead.

Yesterday the team moved to Hinterzarten (GER), where they will do some more training until Thursday. This August Courchevel and Hinterzarten will be venues for the first two mixed team Grand Prix competitions ever.
