Katharina Althaus wins in Pöhla ahead of Svenja Würth and Manuela Malsiner.

The inaugural competition of the Alpen Cup was held on the K60 in Pöhla on Friday. 24 jumpers from five countries participated in this event.

Winner came Germany’s Katharina Althaus whith two jumps on 60.5 and 62.5 meters. Second came her team-mate Svenja Würth, who was only fourth after the first round (85.0 m), but then improved to this position with a 61.0 meter jump in the second. Italy’s Manuela Malsiner came third with a pair of jumps on 58.5 and 60.5 meters. On places four to six followed Lucienne Höppner, Veronika Zobel (both GER) and Sonja Schoitsch (AUT).

The next two competitions of the Alpen Cup series will be held on Saturday and Sunday in Bischofsgrün.
