Germany’s Veronika Zobel successfully underwent an arthroscopic knee surgery today.

While most jumpers already made it to Lillehammer to prepare for the World Cup opening on Friday, Germany’s Veronika Zobel had to go under the knife today.

After already having problems with her left knee for some time, she now had a keyhole surgery at Hessingpark-Clinic in Augsburg. The volume of her infrapatellar fat pad was reduced a little and also a small scissure in her cartilage was fixed. She now will have to walk on crutches for ten days, then she will begin a physiotherapy. Depending on the healing process she will be able to restart training in approximately six to eight weeks.

Ladies-Skijumping.com wishes her a speedy recovery.
