Susanna Forsström won the Continental Cup in Falun on Sunday ahead of Nina Lussi and Nita Englund.
Susanna Forsström won the second Continental Cup in Falun on Sunday. The talent from Finland made jumps of 83.0 and 85.5 meters and so celebrated the first win in her career. Places two and three were both taken by jumpers from the United States. Yesterday’s winner Nina Lussi jumped 82.0 metes twice and so came second. Nita Englund on third jumped 80.5 and 81.5 meters.
Wendy Vuik from the Netherlands came fourth with jumps of 78.0 and 76.5 meters. Norway’s Karoline Roestad took the fifth place (77.5 and 73.0 m) ahead of Poland’s Joanna Szwab (78.0 and 72.0 m).
With her second place today Lussi has taken over the lead in the overall Continental Cup. She has a score of 298 in this ranking. Forsström made a big step forward with her win and is second with 257 points. Third is still Juliane Seyfarth from Germany, who does not compete in Falun, with 251 points.
The two final competitions of this winter’s Continental Cup will be held in two weeks on the large hill in Ruhpolding.
