Germany’s talent Agnes Reisch won all four OPA Alpen Cup competitions in Pöhla and Bischofsgrün.

Summer competitions in Pöhla and Bischofsgrün have a rich tradition in Ladies Skijumping. Pöhla was one of the first places were Ladies Competitions were held, and Bischofsgrün annually hosted Continental Cup before the World Cup was introduced. Now the hills (HS65 and HS71) in both places have of course become too small for the international A-level, but are fine for youth competitions. And so a small tour of four competitions as part of the OPA Alpen Cup was held there last week.

Winner of all four competitions came 14 year old Agnes Reisch from Germany. Not just the number of victories, but also the fact that some of the other competitors already gathered some World Cup experience, shows that we should keep the name of this uprising talent in mind.

In the first of the two competitions in Pöhla on Wednesday, Reisch won ahead of Luisa Görlich from Germany and Italy’s Veronica Gianmoena. Places four to six were taken by Lara Malsiner (ITA), Claudia Purker (AUT) and Karolina Indrackova (CZE).

In the second comp in Pöhla, it was Romania’s Dana Haralambie who came second behind Reisch. Again Görlich made a solid performance and so came third. Gianmoena came fourth this time, places five and six were taken by Germany’s Henriette Kraus and Barbora Blazkova from the Czech Republic.
