Daniela Iraschko was awarded with the yellow jersey and the Ski Club Schönwald’s challenging cup.
The prize giving ceremony for today’s Continental Cup was held in the evening in the City Hall of Schonach, together with the ceremony for the Nordic Combined World Cup. Some hundred spectators came to see the ceremonies and to listen to the music by some marching bands that were playing there.
Today’s winner Daniela Iraschko received the yellow jersey of the leader in the FIS Winter Tour. Before she was already awarded with the challenging cup of the Ski Club Schönwald. A jumper has the chance to gain this cup ad infinitum, by winning it either five times in total or three times in a row. It was Iraschko’s second win in a row, so she might take it home for good in the next year, if she also wins it then. She already owns the predecessor of the current cup. She won it for the fifth time two years ago.
