Coline Mattel performed best in the official training in Bischofsgrün. First competition is today in the afternoon.
Two official training rounds were held this morning in on Bischofsgrün’s HS 71. It was a little misty, but there was only low wind. Some experienced jumpers, such as Ulrike Grässler (GER), Maja Vtic (SLO) or Sabrina Windmüller (SUI), skipped the training, as most teams already used their time on Friday and did some training on the hill.
The official trainings longest distance on 67.5m was set by Coline Mattel (FRA) in the second training round. Long jumps were also performed by Ursa Bogataj (SLO, 67.0 m) and Melanie Faisst (GER, 66.5 m). Yoshiko Kasai (JPN), Ramona Straub (GER), Sara Takanashi (JPN) and Sarah Hendrickson (USA) all jumped on 65.5 meters. As the inrun speed was low in the first round, all these long distances were set in the second.
It is nice to see, that with Dana Vasilica Haralambie (57.5 m in the second round) one of the Romanian jumpers is able to keep pace with the middle of the field. The Romanian team is participating for the first time in the Ladies Continental Cup.
The first competition will be held at 3 o’clock pm. According to the forecast, weather conditions will improve in the afternoon.
