Daniela Iraschko won the Continental Cup in Lillehammer ahead of Jacqueline Seifriedsberger and Julia Kykkänen.
The Continental Cup calendar is very short this summer. After the introduction of Grand Prix, FIS-Cup and Alpencup only two competitions remained in this competition series, that for many years served as backbone for this sports. Both competition are held this weekend in Lillehammer.
Clear winner of the fist competition today came Austria’s Daniela Iraschko, who jumped 97.0 meters twice. Her team-mate Jacqueline Seifriedsberger took the second place with a pair of jumps of 89.0 and 91.5 meters. Third came Finland’s Julia Kykkänen with jumps on 77.5 and 80.5 meters. This is her best career result so far.
Switzerland’s Bigna Windmüller came forth, she jumped 79.0 meters twice. The paces five and six were taken by two Slovenians, Eva Logar (75 and 83 m) and Anja Tepes (79,5 and 77.5 m). Bad luck had their team-mate Maja Vitc. She was fourth after the first round but eventually fell back to place 14 after only jumping 74.0 meters in the second round.
The second Continental Cup competition will be held tomorrow at 12:50 pm.
