World Champion Sarah Hendrickson fell in training and suffered a knee injurie.
Bad news for World Champion Sarah Hendrickson (USA). The 19 year old from Park City suffered a knee injury when she fell during a training session in Oberstdorf, Germany. The team was training on the large hill there and Hendrickson made a jump that went far beyond the hill size and was unable to land it.
She received first medical treatment in Germany and will return to the U.S. on Friday for further examinations. „I have pain in my right knee. I am headed home tomorrow for an MRI to get the full diagnosis“, she said to Ladies-Skijumping.com. It is to be feared that some of her knee’s ligaments are damaged. This would mean, that she might not be able to participate in the Olympics, as these injuries always require time for healing.
Ladies-Skijumping.com wishes her a speedy recovery.
